Homeworx is a local family owned business providing modular homes throughout NL that are manufactured at its own facility in St. John's, NL and through a long time partnership as authorized builder for Kent Homes. From large-scale multi-unit projects to new single-family dwellings, cabins, or retirement homes, Homeworx provides both full turnkey home packages or will ship FOB depending on the desired scope of work, type of project and location.
Homeworx is experienced in land development, having created eight-lot cul-de-sac Rhaye Place in St. John's, The Grove at Rhodies Pond, a current 21-lot development in Placentia Junction one hour from St. John's, and prepared countless individual lots for residential customers over the years.
Backed by decades of construction experience, Homeworx is registered with Atlantic Home Warranty, Better Business Bureau, is a member of the Canadian Home Builders Association of NL (CHBA-NL), Newfoundland and Labrador Construction Association (NLCA), Newfoundland and Labrador Organization of Women Entrepreneurs (NLOWE) and Labrador West Chamber of Commerce and is proud to be a 6-time Builders Excellence winner, including 2023, 2024 and 2025 awards for Excellence In Housing Affordability.
Linda Mansfield - President & CEO
Linda Mansfield holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Co-operative) Degree from Memorial University of Newfoundland and has extensive experience in construction, safety, and real estate management. She has led the development of workplace safety programs for commercial manufacturing and construction, created fall protection training programs, and in addition to leading Homeworx, oversees a diverse portfolio of commercial and residential real estate holdings as Managing Director of WH Parsons Limited. A recognized industry leader, Linda is a board member of the Newfoundland and Labrador Construction Safety Association (NLCSA), serves as First Vice President of Canadian Home Builders' Association – Newfoundland and Labrador (CHBA-NL), is Chair of the NL Women in Residential Construction Council (WIRCC) and represents Newfoundland and Labrador on the WIRCC National. Her leadership and commitment to excellence are reflected in every home we build.
Scott Mansfield - VP
With two university degrees from Memorial University of Newfoundland and a Graduate Diploma in Technology, Scott brings more than two decades of experience in real estate investment and development. As a licensed Realtor with Hanlon Realty, he has extensive expertise in property management, new home construction, renovations, and land development. Passionate about expanding access to quality housing, he has been a strong advocate for the affordability and benefits of manufactured homes, helping nearly 200 families across Newfoundland and Labrador—from Makkovik to Cape Broyle—find a place to call home.
Roy Parsons, P. Eng. – Director
With more than 50 years of professional experience as a Civil Engineer, Roy Parsons has built a distinguished career designing, inspecting, constructing and certifying residential, commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects throughout Newfoundland and Labrador. His expertise includes structural design, construction drawings and specifications, structural steel fabrication, and detailed assessments for renovation and expansion projects. A respected pioneer of the construction industry, he is a founding member and Past President of the Newfoundland and Labrador Construction Association (NLCA) and was inducted into the NLCA Hall of Fame in 2022 in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the profession.
